Wood Turtle (Glyptemys insculpta)

A male and 2 females found emerging from the same stream as the male above. between 9:30 and 10:30AM. The male and smaller female(pair photo) were found side by side submerged about 2 feet from the water's edge. The larger female was found alone, but near the same logs as the basking male from 4/1/06. The male had been notched the previous summer (L10/R10)


Eastern Box Turtles (Terrapene c. carolina)

These turtles are part of a tracking/monitoring program of populations in the Hudson Valley,NY.
